Nepadure ®
Nepafenac 1% non-steroidal anti-in ammatory drug (NSAID), effective to treat pain, redness and inflammation associated with cataract surgery. Undergoes rapid bioactivation to amfenac, that uniformaly inhibits the COX1 & COX2 activity Rapidly crosses the cornea (6 times faster than diclofenac in vitro) and is well tolerated and effective. Decreases inflammation by blocking prostaglandin H synthase.
